Baori is one of the most idiosyncratic architectural feature. Having served as flamboyant water reservoirs for community baths, Boaris have had close acquaintances with royalty as well. This carpet design is a unique perspective composition of a Baori possessing the grandeur of dropping steps under a magnanimous arch. As these wells no more serve their original function, we imagine a Baori as a glorified lotus pond.
